ਬੇੜੀ - ਤੁਲਹੜਾ | Boat - Raft

ਨਾ ਬੇੜੀ ਨਾ ਤੁਲਹੜਾ ਨਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਪਿਰੁ ਦੂਰਿ ।।1।। No boat or raft can take you to Him. Your Husband Lord is far away.

ਦੀਵਾ | Lamp

ਬਿਨੁ ਤੇਲ ਦੀਵਾ ਕਿਉ ਜਲੈ ।।1।।Without the oil [Simran], how can the lamp [of your conscience] be lit [wake up]? ||1||

ਖੇਤੀ | Farm

ਸਹਜੇ ਖੇਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਐ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੀਜੁ ਪਾਇ ।।With intuitive stillness, cultivate your farm [conscience], and sow the Seed of the True Name.

ਬੋਹਿਥੁ | Ship

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਵ ਹੈ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਚੜਿਆ ਜਾਇ ।।True Guru is the ship of the true Name of God. Guru guides how to embark there on?

ਦਾਤ | Sickles

ਲੈ ਲੈ ਦਾਤ ਪਹੁਤਿਆ ਲਾਵੇ ਕਰਿ ਤਈਆਰੁ ।।Taking their sickles, harvesters arrived to harvest.

ਕਰਵਤੁ | Saw

ਅਰਧ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਕਟਾਈਐ ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਵਤੁ ਧਰਾਇ ।।If a saw was put on my head and my body were cut in half.

ਅੰਗ - 73

ਹਲੁ | Plough

ਮੈ ਸਤ ਕਾ ਹਲੁ ਜੋਆਇਆ ।। ਨਾਉ ਬੀਜਣ ਲਗਾ ਆਸ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਹਲ ਬਖਸ ਜਮਾਇ ਜੀਉ ||I have joked the plough of Truth.

ਪਖਾ | Fan

ਪੈਰ ਧੋਵਾ ਪਖਾ ਫੇਰਦਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਲਗਾ ਪਾਇ ਜੀਉ ।।10।।I wash their feet, wave fan over them, bowing low and fall at their feet.

ਕਲਉ - ਮਸਾਜਨੀ | Pen - Ink

ਕਲਉ ਮਸਾਜਨੀ ਕਿਆ ਸਦਾਈਐ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹੀ ਲਿਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ।।Why ask for a pen [kalam], and why ask for ink? Write [His name] within your heart.

ਦੀਪਕੁ | Lamp

ਜਿਉ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੈ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ।।Just as the darkness is lit up by the lamp.
